I will be teaching ECE 491:
ECE 491 Introduction to Artificial Neural Networks

Description: Credit 3. This course provides an introduction to artificial neural networks and deep learning. Biophysical and mathematical models of neurons. Perceptron and its relation to the LMS algorithm. Parallel Computing and GPUs. Convolution neural networks, recurrent neural networks (LSTM and gated recurrent), and residual networks.
Prerequisites: MATH 310, ECE 310 or equivalent and basic computer programming skills.
This is an introductory course on Artificial Neural Networks for senior undergraduate and junior graduate students. Prerequisites are linear algebra, calculus and basic computer programming. There will be 8 labs, 1 Midterm exam and 1 Final exam. Laboratory part of the course will cover practical applications and students will use deep learning libraries such as Keras and Tensorflow. Students will also learn how to train neural networks using GPUs.
