ECE 595 Seminar Series
October 28, 2022
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Advanced Engineering Research
Presenter: Kristyn Caragher, UIC
Abstract: In this session, we will go over the differences between engineering resources, such as IEEE, an engineering research database, and Web of Science, the largest citation database in science, engineering, medicine, and technology, with a focus on conducting literature reviews. Students will practice developing a complex search strategy and applying it to the engineering databases. The session will also touch on accessing standards, open-access publishing, and Refworks. Please come to class with a research question or topic prepared ahead of time and a laptop so you can participate.
